SUCHER’s PASSION on Salvador Dalí and the Bible

On four nights, theatre connoisseur, critique and author Prof. Dr. C. Bernd Sucher will discuss the Old and the New Testament, since the Bible gives good counsel for all life situations: Is love blind? Are taxes really necessary? Is adultery always a sin? – There are answers!

Prof. Dr. C. Bernd Sucher was born in Bitterfeld. He studied German philology in Hamburg and Munich. Until 1997 he was responsible editor for spoken theatre at „Süddeutsche Zeitung“, until 2007 he worked as an author for the aforementioned newspaper. He’s teaching at the German School of Journalism in Munich. Since 1998 he designs and leads the degree programme for theatre-, film- and TV-criticism at the University of television and film in cooperation with the Bavarian theatre-academy August Everding. He is a member of several jury-panels and of PEN-Club. Sucher curates the theatre festival “radikal jung” (radically young). Furthermore he is - with his reading series “Sucher’s Passion”, together with prominent theatre artists – successfully performing as an elocutionist in Munich and numerous European cities and is regularly seen on TV at BR 3 and ARTE. He is also well known for his book publications, audio books and TV documentaries.
